Day 8 Saturday 29 March Terlingua, TX to El Paso, TX Leaving the ghost town of Terlingua behind us we head out to Lajitas for some snack shopping. Right next to where the mayor lives, just don’t be surprised when you find out he’s a goat! Down the road we will meeting up with the Rio Grande who will be beside us for the next 60 miles. Lots of oppertunites for taking some scenic pictures. As we leave Presido we follow more long winding curves before a break in Marfa. And then you will see one of the strangest pieces of art anywhere. A Prada store in the middle of nowhere, stocked with Prada merchandise, definately one to take a picture of. From Van Horn it is 100 miles on the I10, because there is literally no other way, but there is a t-shirt shop at the end of it. The World’s largest so they say, Barnett Harley Davidson in El Paso. We spend this evening in El Paso, Texas right on the Mexico border. Easy miles along sweeping roads means we can pray the pool is open to be able to chill out with a cold beer to end the day.
